The International Trade Union Confederation has just released a new report about the global food crisis. ITUC works closely with The Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC), an organizing partner for the UN Commission on Sustainable Development. The report, A Recipe for Hunger: How the World is Failing on Food, explores the truly stark situation facing millions:
The number of people without enough to eat increased by 150 million in 2008, and the global economic crisis is likely to result in a further 200 million falling into absolute poverty.
